Happy Veteran’s Day!

Anyone that knows me as the director of the Dillsburg Area Public Library knows that I am a military history buff (my office is decorated, among other things, with models of B-29s). I find the library has been an excellent place to find good material on American military history. We’ve also had our fair share of military themed historical talks as well, including programs on Camp Security, Fort Hunter, and World War II in York County. Last year we were proud to host the Northern York World War I Honor Roll, loaned to us by NYCHAPS. We’ve got a flag, given to us when we were located on Baltimore St., that was given to us by Pennsylvania National Guard soldiers when served in Iraq.

Happy Veterans Day to all, especially to all who have served in the Armed Forces and the families that support them, from the Dillsburg Area Public Library. We are grateful for your service!
