Our Library Cards

York County Libraries is excited to offer two types of library cards to our members:

  • eCards (For York County residents)
  • Full-Service Library Cards

eCards - York County Residents, Apply Online!

Instantly receive access to York County Libraries’ collection of Online Resources with an eCard. This includes access our eBook collection in the popular eBook platform Libby!

Note: Members with an eCard cannot borrow books or other physical items from the library.

Eligibility

  • Anyone who lives in York County, Pennsylvania is eligible for a free eCard.
  • eCards are not currently available for:
    • Out-of-county** residents
    • Out-of-state** residents
    • Members who already have a York County Libraries card

**Nonresidents may apply for a full-service library card at any of our 13 libraries.

How to Apply

Getting an eCard is easy! Apply online to receive your eCard number within minutes.

Tip: If you don’t see an email from @yorklibraries.org, check your Spam or Junk folders. Sometimes our emails get stuck!

Full-Service Library Cards

Full-service library cards are the all-access pass! These physical library cards are your key to accessing all of York County Libraries services, including:

Eligibility

  • Anyone who lives or works in York County, Pennsylvania is eligible for a free full-service card.
  • Out-of-county** Pennsylvania residents are also eligible for a free full-service card
  • Out-of-state** residents may receive a full-service library card for an annual fee.
