Computers, Printing, & Internet Access

At our 13 York County Libraries locations, we have the tech you need! Free computer and internet access are just a few of the services you will find across the county.

Stop in if you have need of technology access including:

Computers with Internet Access

Access our computers for free at any library. See library staff for instructions about logging onto a computer. A library card or valid ID are required for using computers.

Printers 

Print black and white or color copies of documents. Call your local library for their per-page printing costs.

Wireless Internet Access

Connect to the internet from any device or computer with free library Wi-Fi. Ask library staff for the password.

Mobile Hotspots

Access the internet from home, work, or on the road with one of York County Libraries’ mobile hotspots! Hotspots check out for a three-week borrowing period. A $30 rental fee is payable with cash or card on checkout.

Additionally, hotspots can be placed on hold in the catalog and picked up at your preferred library. Simply search “mobile hotspot device” in the search bar to place a hold.

Our hotspots feature: 

  • High speed wireless internet with unlimited data usage 
  • Internet access from anywhere in North America with T-Mobile service 
  • Compatibility with multiple smartphones, tablets, desktop computers, and laptops. 

Mobile hotspot checkout is available to adults, 18 and older, with a library card in good standing* and valid ID.

**Any member with less than $20 in fines is considered to be in good standing.

Note: Springettsbury Township, Manchester Township, and York Academy are not pickup locations for hotspot holds.

Adobe Acrobat Reader

Open, save, and print PDF documents using this software.

Microsoft Software Suite

All library computers in the full Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.

The costs for faxing varies by library. On average, the cost to send and receive a fax is around $0.50-$1.00 per page. 

Scanners

Create digital copies of your important documents using library scanners. Ask desk staff for assistance.

Note:  Some libraries may have a per-page scanning cost. 

Digital Scanning Station
