Early Childhood Aide – Infant Room

Location: Smith School

The Early Childhood Aide will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Program in the Infant Room.

Early Childhood Aide – Toddler Room

Location: Smith School

The Early Childhood Aide will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Program in the Toddler Room.

Educator (Substitute)

Location: Smith School

Substitute for Adult Education classes (ESL and GED) and/or Early Childhood Education.  All lesson plans will be ready for the substitute.  You will be contacted as needed for subbing.

Literacy Interventionist

Location: York City School District

The Literacy Interventionist works with k- 3 grade students in small groups or one-on-one to improve their reading, writing and math skills. The goal is to help those struggling below their grade level to increase their literacy to grade level or above. Multiple positions open!

Maintenance Assistant – Full Time

Location: Martin Library

Under direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Assistant performs a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, keeping the building in a clean and orderly condition. Candidate will perform cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, restrooms, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removal of trash. Other duties include monitoring HVAC equipment, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from the sidewalk.

Math Interventionist

Location: York City School District

The Interventionist works with 5th-8th grade students in small groups or one-on-one to improve their math skills. The goal is to help those struggling below their grade level to increase their math competency to grade level or above. Multiple positions open!

Member Services Librarian

Location: Martin Library

The Adult and Member Services Librarian assists the Library Director in supporting the mission of York County Libraries. The Adult and Member Services Librarian oversees the day-to-day functions of the Member Service department including supervision of staff and volunteers.

Member Services Senior Library Assistant

Location: Martin Library

The Member Services Senior Library Assistant will provide assistance to a diverse population of customers in using library resources. They will assist in the day-to-day functions of the Member Services department, perform customer service duties, enforce library policies as well as assist community members with questions regarding our collection or information needs, including digital media, online databases. Support is given to users of public access computers.

Teen Services Librarian

Location: Martin Library – Teen Services

Under the general supervision of the Library Director, the Teen Services Librarian is responsible for Martin Library’s Teen Services department, including the department’s staff and volunteers. This includes creating, implementing, and promoting Teen programming and outreach to teens in our community.  The Teen Services Librarian builds connections with local schools, agencies, community organizations and subject area experts to provide innovative and engaging programs and services.

Volunteer Coordinator

Location: Martin Library

The Volunteer Coordinator will assist a diverse population of volunteers in identifying library services and resources that interest them. The Volunteer Coordinator will also assist Adult Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) participants who apply for placement at Martin Library as appropriate. The Volunteer Coordinator will be aware of programs and services offered at the library and seek individual volunteers to support those services.
