Bilingual Program Aide

Location: Smith School (York, PA)

Candidate must enjoy being a team player and providing excellent care and service to a diverse population.  This position requires someone who has strong communication skills and is attentive to the needs of the students, families, and the program itself.  It is important that the candidate be dependable and maintains a positive attitude.

Early Childhood Aide – Infant Room

Location: Smith School (York, PA)

The Early Childhood Aide will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Program in the Infant Room.

Literacy Interventionist

Location: York City School District (York, PA)

The Literacy Interventionist works with K-4 grade students in small groups or one-on-one to improve their reading, writing skills. The goal is to help those struggling below their grade level to increase their literacy to grade level or above. 

Math Interventionist

Location: York City School District (York, PA)

The Interventionist works with K-8th grade students in small groups or one-on-one to improve their math skills. The goal is to help those struggling below their grade level to increase their math competency to grade level or above. 

Member Services Library Assistant (26-27 hours)

Location: Martin Library (York, PA)

The Member Services Library Assistant will provide assistance to a diverse population of customers in using library resources. Support is given to users of public access computers.  Assistance is given to customers in person, via phone, and via email. These resources include, but are not limited to: printed materials, digital media, online databases, internet searches, faxing, copying, and printing. The Member Services Library Assistant will also assist in the day-to-day functions of the Member Services department – checking in/out materials, shelving books, opening/closing duties, creating/updating patron records, etc.

Teen Library Assistant (24 hours)

Location: Martin Library – Teen Services (York, PA)

Under the supervision of the Manager of Teen Services, the Teen Library Assistant will provide assistance to a diverse population of members in using library resources. The Teen Library Assistant will primarily be involved in the day-to-day functions of greeting members, checking in/out materials, shelving books, opening/closing duties, creating customer records, etc.

Teen Services Program Coordinator

Location: Martin Library – Teen Services (York, PA)

The Teen Services Program Coordinator is responsible for attracting, retaining, and involving teens at the library. The Teen Services Program Coordinator is outward-looking, community-oriented, and eager to build positive relationships between local teens, the community, and the library. Together with the library’s Teen Leadership Group, the Coordinator will plan and implement teen programs and events, aligning them with YCL’s goals and commitment to teen services. Coordinator will collaborate with the Teen Services Manager to develop and maintain the teen book collection. Under the supervision of the Teen Services Manager, the Teen Services Program Coordinator is responsible for designing and implementing Teen programs and services that incorporate age-appropriate learning methods, career exploration opportunities and state education standards.

Video Production & Marketing Internship (Fall 2022)

Location: Martin Library – Administrative Offices (Marketing) (York, PA)

This internship is project-based with a varying schedule depending on recording needs & editing and approval process time. You’ll work in a hybrid (on-site and remote) work environment that will see you visiting multiple locations throughout your internship. We highly encourage all planning and editing work to be done remotely, if possible. Interns will only be coming to Martin Library to meet with their supervisor and exchange equipment as needed.  All equipment should be kept in good working order.

We’re looking for interns in any of these majors: marketing, communications, journalism, media arts production, or other another related major who have skills or experience in: desktop or phone based video editing, broadcasting or livestreaming, graphic design, interpersonal communication, technical writing and/or scripting.
