Get involved in your library & community
York County Libraries offer adult-specific programs and services! From career help to hobby groups, you’ll find something of interest and get involved in the community at the same time!
Programs & Resources for Adults
Our library staff and volunteers are here to help you apply for your next job. At our job preparation sessions, we help you navigate the job application process.
One of the easiest ways to get involved in your library is to join a book group. Luckily, with our 13 full-service locations, there is always a new book up for discussion! Even better: some libraries have discussion groups dedicated only to the genres you love, such as mysteries.
Check the events calendar for Book Discussion Group meetings across the county.
Hobby & Support Groups
From knitting circles to day planning workshops, York County Libraries offer groups that keep your hobbies in mind. Join other like-minded individuals for a fun, relaxed hour of learning and socializing.
We also host support groups dedicated to creating a safe environment for sharing questions and concerns on various topics.
Each one of our libraries provides access to computers, printers, and other devices. Additionally, we provide a TechTime service for help with technology. During these sessions we assist visitors with smartphones, tablets, e-readers, laptops, and other devices.
Martin Library offers TechTime Power Sessions monthly from 10:30 am-12:00 pm on a Saturday. These power sessions provide further instruction on various topics related to technology use. Please check the events calendar for dates and topics. Register online or call Martin Library’s Information Services at (717) 849-6927.
