Community Room

Just as the name suggests, the Community Room is a great community gathering place for local clubs and organizations. Also throughout the year, the room is utilized for programs such as our popular Art Classes for children and adults.

If you are interested in using the space for personal use, the room may also be rented for a fee. For more information, contact the library director at 717-993-2404.

Quiet Reading Room

One of the unique areas within our library is our dedicated space for quiet reading and tutoring. The Quiet Reading Room is a great space for students, tutors, seniors to seclude themselves for ease of reading and learning. Additionally, this room doubles as an Art Gallery during special events such as the Art Exhibition and Reception.

If you would like to use the room during your visit, ask the library staff about availability.

Art Display

Located inside the Quiet Reading Room, you will find our current featured artist(s) display of their work. From month to month, the art is rotated with a new artist’s pieces, which can also be purchased by the community. Feel free to browse among the art as you please!

If you would like to display your own art in the Quiet Reading Room, please refer to our Artist Guidelines.

Fireplace

Settle around our cozy stone fireplace! Overlooking the greens behind the library, the fireplace in the Mason-Dixon Library is a great gathering place for group meetings, programs, book discussions, or casual reading and relaxing.
