Happy Fall’Yall!
This warm weather we are experiencing can yield pleasant surprises in the garden department.
It is not too late to can those last minute tomatoes or stone fruit local to your area.
Eighteen years ago when I had the desire to can, it was not “hip” nor did it seem to be “happening” I found myself searching for information and experiences from those of an older generation, where canning was a part of life.
I gathered what information I could as well as researching the USDA, US Department of Agriculture to gather the information I needed. ref: www.usda.gov
Today the library seems to have a plethora of canning books to reference.
Canning “today” can result in delicious delicacy’s “tomorrow”.
