The Dillsburg Area Public Library’s featured artists for May and June 2022 are all from the Hanover Arts Guild. Our art wall coordinator Shelby Pizzarro caught up with one of the artists, Jennifer Longo:
What is the source of your inspiration?
I’m inspired by real emotions and music, mostly, but also by traveling. Going somewhere I haven’t been before opens my eyes to new scenery and cultures, and I find it to be incredibly inspirational.
What do you enjoy most about creating new art?
I enjoy trying new techniques and trying to challenge myself to see things from new perspectives.
Do you have a favorite medium?
Photography is my favorite form of art, however, I also love drawing, sketching, and painting. I dabble in many aspects of art, but photography is the one that has stuck with me the most.
Do you ever experience a creative block? If so, how do you rejuvenate your creativity?
I frequently experience creative blocks. I often struggle to get out of them, but I find that a change of scenery helps.
