Denise has been a Dillsburg Area Public Library volunteer for over 20 years. Her favorite things about volunteering are seeing and touching all the books that come across the library circulation desk and encouraging patrons to become involved in reading and library activities. Her favorite author is Louise Penny.
A South-Central PA native, Denise grew up in Biglerville and attended Messiah College where she studied Nursing. She worked as a Labor & Delivery nurse at Harrisburg Hospital and currently is a Case Manager for a health insurance company.
She and her family have lived in Wellsville for the past 31 years in a century old home. She enjoys the small town feel of Dillsburg but likes that there are cities nearby. Her hobbies include kayaking and singing; in fact, she sang to her husband at their wedding!
