Building Updates

After much activity this summer, the staff here at the Dillsburg Area Public Library are excited about some of the recent upgrades. First of all the Jordan Richardson Reading Garden was open to the public during a dedication event on October 19th. The Garden has seating areas, a water feature, and areas for both children’s and adult activities. The highlight of the Garden, though, is the Silent Reader sculpture, done by Fisher Sculpture of Dillsburg. We hope that the garden will be a place of quiet reflection for the community and a proper remembrance of Jordan.

If you would like to make a financial contribution to help offset the costs of the project, donations will be gratefully accepted. Online contributions can be made at https://donate.yorklibraries.org. Select Dillsburg Area Public Library and Reading Garden Project. Thank you for your support!

The Library also completed installation of push-button automatic front doors. With the push of a button, patrons with mobility issues will be able to access the library. This upgrade was made possible by a generous donation.
