Friends of the Dillsburg Area Library Set Fall Book Sale

The Friends of the Dillsburg Area Public Library will hold its annual Fall Book Sale, which will begin on September 28 at 9 am. It will continue through October 5 during regular library hours. The sale will be held at the library at 204 Mumper Lane in Dillsburg.

As with past sales, plenty of bargains will be available all week. Adult items will be $1.00 each or six for $5.00. Children’s items will be $.50 each or three for $1.00. The final day of the sale will feature the ever-popular “fill-a-bag” for $5.00 deal.

“Book sales are a win-win-win for the community. It gives people a chance to clean out their book shelves, find bargains, and help the library raise much needed income. There is something here for every reading taste,” said Friends president Janine Guinter.

Recent Friends sales, held each spring and fall, have raised approximately $1500 each to support operations at the library.

According to Library Director Keith Greenawalt, “the Friends do an excellent job in organizing and conducting the two annual book sales. The income they raise allows us to extend our reach into the community.”

The Friends of the Library are accepting books, DVDs, CDs, and puzzles until the start of the sale. Donations can be made during regular library hours. They are also looking for new members to assist with future sales. Contact the library at 717-432-5613 for more information.
