Spring Is Coming

Spring is coming! Time for planting flowers! Not sure what to plant? The Library has some great books to guide you. Here are two excellent books that are specific to Pennsylvania landscapes and plants.

Month-by-Month Gardening Pennsylvania by Liz Ball and George Weigel covers what to do in your yard or garden each month.

Pennsylvania Getting Started Garden Guide by George Weigel shows you which plants grow best in Pennsylvania.

Another good gardening source is Container Gardens: Over 200 fresh ideas for indoor and outdoor plantings by the Editors of Southern Living. Southern Living gives you lots of good ideas for plants and color choices in your planters.

Finally, for the lazy gardeners like me try The Low-Maintenance Garden by Susan Berry and Steven Bradley. This book shows gardeners how to plant a landscape with little maintenance for years to come.

Enjoy your garden!
