December Events

Coming up this month at the Dillsburg Library:

We will be closed Monday, Dec 25th and Tuesday, Dec 26th for the Christmas holiday.
We will be closed Monday, Jan 1st for New Years.

The Polar Express
Back by popular demand! This year we will be hosting two readings of The Polar Express. Join us Wed, Dec 6 or Dec 13 at 6 pm as the Conductor arrives and does a reading of the story. This all ages event will include cookies and milk, and like the children in the story, we invite our listeners to wear their PJ’s and bathrobes! Join us for a festive evening which is sure to delight.

Dillsburg Brass Performs Holiday Music
Join us on the evening of the 13th, following the reading of The Polar Express, and enjoy music of the season performed by local musicians.

Teen Cookie Decorating Program
Ages 12-18 are invited to join us Tues, Dec 5th from 6-7 pm to decorate cookies and get into the holiday mood. We’ll provide the cookies, icing, and trimmings. You provide the talent! Space is limited, so please register by calling 717-432-5613 or by stopping by the front desk.

Cash for Causes
Do you shop at Giant? Give Giant gift cards as presents this time of year? If you purchase your gift cards here at the library, Giant will donate 5% of the face value to us. It’s the gift that gives twice!

Mitten Tree Project
This year we are collecting scarfs, hats, mittens, and gloves to decorate our lobby tree, with these items to be donated to New Hope Ministries throughout the holiday season. New and newly-crafted handmade items are welcome. Help keep our neighbors warm this winter, and our lobby festive!

No December Morning Story Times
We are currently taking a break from our regular morning story times, but will resume in January.
