Friends Of Collinsville Community Library
Our Friends share their time, talents, and resources in many ways including:
- Volunteering alongside library staff
- Managing the Second Reads Used Book Shop
- Raising money for the library
- Creating special fundraising events like the Holiday Basket Auction and Spring Yard Sale

Meet Our Friends Group
Retired civilian employee of the US Army
Vicki plays an active role in the community, and has been involved with the library since childhood. Today, she is the president of Friends Group, for which she had been an active member for many years.
Linda is an active Friends Group Member, and has aided the library by serving as a desk volunteer, assembly helper, and character volunteer.
Retired Navy Intelligence
Rice has been a treasurer for the Friends Group for several years. Within the library, he works every Friday as a desk volunteer, serving as the Collinsville Community Library’s on-site tech guru.
Enviroclean Septic Services Retiree
Kauffman, a previous Friends Group president, is very well connected within the community. From desk volunteer to knitting coach, she is the go-to gal for help.
Blew has been an active member of the Friends Group and the library community for many years.
Heim, a recent Friends Group member, has helped around the library in various areas such as desk volunteer work, as well as generously donating solar lights for signs surrounding the library.
Shaffer, a previous officer of the Friends Group, serves as an active member of both the Friends Group and the library. Within the library, she continues to volunteer at the desk, as well as manage the Second Read Used Book Store.
Retired MP (Army) & Retired postal worker
Timmer has an amazing green thumb and cultivates our landscaping. She is also a desk volunteer. Not only does her volunteer work benefit the library, but her reading therapy dog Sadie does as well through our Sit, Stay, Read program.
Library Assistant of Collinsville Community Library
Brown-Morrow-Latterman joined the Friends Group prior to obtaining her position within the library, and continues to serve as an active member in the organization.
Retired Retail and Active Home School Instructor
Mejo, having previously served as a Friends Group Secretary, continues to serve as both an active Friends Group and Library member/volunteer.
