Limited Browsing @ Guthrie

Limited Browsing Starts Monday, July 6!

What does “limited browsing” mean? Well…pretty much just
what it says.

While the Children’s and Teen departments will remain closed to the public, the Adult Department’s books, audios and CDs will be available for browsing. The Children and Teen Departments will have book bundles that can be checked out. These will be available in the adult department’s Café Area.

When entering the building you will be asked to use the hand sanitizer and there will be an additional sanitizing station located near the stacks for your convenience. Keep in mind that social distancing will need to be followed when browsing. As we will need to adhere to a 50% occupancy limit for the area that is open for browsing, we ask that you be considerate of the people waiting to come into the building.

Masks are required to enter the building, those unwilling or unable to wear a face mask or face shield are asked to refrain from visiting the library until the face mask requirement has been lifted. At this time, you are still able to place books on hold for Lobby pickup. Please call the library at 717-632-5183 with any questions you may have and we’ll do our best to answer them.

Please note that until further notice the following will be unavailable to the public:

  • Bathrooms
  • Computers
  • Copier
  • Children’s and Teen Departments
  • DVDs
  • Seating
  • Newspapers & Magazines
  • Children’s Board Books
  • Large Print materials and Westerns are unavailable for browsing but are available as holds.

We appreciate your understanding and patience going forward and
can’t wait to see you back at the library!
