Meet the Treasurer of our Friends of the Collinsville Community Library: Ron Rice. Ron has helped at the library for almost 9 years. In addition to his Treasurer duties, Ron volunteers at the Main Desk on Fridays and had helped in our recent building projects: conversion of a Tractor Trailer to The Second Read Used Book Store and our upgraded storage shed. Ron enjoys getting to know the ‘library regulars’ and volunteering helps create a sense of community for all. He loves the friendly atmosphere and our non-traditional kid-friendly noise levels. If Ron is not here, he is probably at home on his computer (Ron assists as in-house Tech Guru often). Ron is a privacy advocate, and often reads books by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Robert A Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Clive Cussler, Dick Francis and Arthur C. Clarke.
