My name is Leslie Martin and I work as a Library Service Coordinator at Collinsville Community Library. I have worked for the York County Libraries since 1998 after initially volunteering at Kaltreider-Benfer Library with my children. I began working here at Collinsville about 10 years ago.
My favorite part of my job is interacting with our patrons, especially the kids. As a smaller library, I get the chance to learn most people’s names, a nice challenge and mental workout. I implement Collinsville’s monthly homeschool group. As a former homeschooling parent, I know the value of different opportunities for both the homeschool kids AND parents. It is a pleasure to offer this program.
In my spare time, I enjoy the comfort and quiet of my home and reading until I fall asleep! What could be better? My favorite book is usually the one I am reading at the time. I like so many authors; I find it impossible to pick just one. I would be remiss if I did not say I love my kitty, Esther Hope Fisher. She is my sweet, furry friend.
