York County Libraries are starting spring story times for children and families in March and April at locations across the county. The weekly offerings include story times geared to babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and families. While many programs are being held inside the library, some are heading outdoors to the rail trail, Lake Marburg, and other locations. Masks are optional.
Story time invites curiosity, discovery, and exploration. Children, along with their caregivers, are up and moving, singing, and reading together, building the skills needed for school in a welcoming environment supported by early learning professionals. YCL’s youth services staff develop and deliver story time programs that follow Pennsylvania’s Learning Standards for Early Childhood to help prepare children for school.
