For the fifth consecutive year, York County Libraries will participate in Give Local York, the biggest day of giving in York County! The 24-hour online event will be held on Friday, May 6 from 12:00 a.m. through 11:59:59 p.m. Last year, community members came together to raise an amazing $3.7 million for more than 300 local nonprofits. Give Local York amplifies the work that local organizations are doing collectively to enrich the lives of community members.

Join Our Library Celebrations!
Every year, staff and library friends plan fun community events to celebrate Give Local York. And 2022 is no different! Libraries are hosting a variety of special activities online, at libraries, and in the community.
Here’s a Sneak Peek at What’s Happening!
- The South Central PA Search and Rescue Dogs will be at Collinsville Community Library with dogs and drones, along with storybook character Clifford the Big Red Dog.
- Red Land Community Library returns to Blue Sky Tavern where they will have an information table, host trivia, and local celebrity bartenders will help raise funds.
- Glatfelter Memorial Library is hosting a book sale at the library
- The Friends of the Arthur Hufnagel Public Library will hold a special happy hour at the Glen Rock Mill Inn.
- Kreutz Creek Library Friends will be at four businesses on Give Local York Day including the Wild Batch Bistro, The Rustic Cup Coffee, Hallamshire Family Restaurant, and American Daydream Antiques & Miscellanea.
