The physical transformation of the former Hellam Township Building into the new Kreutz Creek Library is in a word: amazing. Kinsley Construction, Inc. and crews from several local companies did impressive work delivering the building ahead of schedule.
The next steps include waiting for the furniture and bookshelves to arrive. The pandemic has slowed delivery of furnishings. Despite the furniture hiccup, library staff expect to open the library sometime in December. After serving residents in a 1970’s FEMA trailer for 42 years, it won’t be long now until the library fills its new expansive 8,800 square foot facility.
