Brenda Gibbs of Hopewell Township has an ice cream cake
recipe in our new cookbook, "A Cook's Library," and she
shows how it's made in a video on the York Dispatch website.
The cookbook, which sells for $14, can be purchased at the
library or at Shaw's Orchard or ordered by mail by sending a
check for $18 (the price of the book, plus shipping) to

presents
An Exhibition of Paintings
by
WILLIAM ERWIN
July 9-30, 2010
William
Erwin was born in Texas. He began drawing in his childhood,
worked in oils and pastels during college, but stopped producing
art after he began a career as a teacher and then as a federal
employee. Now retired, William has moved back to art. He began
painting and drawing again in January of 2005. When he was
working in watercolors, his works were accepted in major
international watercolor society exhibits, including the
Northeast (U.S.) Watercolor Society, the Philadelphia Watercolor
Society and the Baltimore Watercolor Society juried shows.
Today, he works primarily in oils and
graphite, and accepts commissions for portraits of people and
pets. He is a returning artist to the Mason-Dixon Public
Library having been featured in a solo exhibition here in
January, 2007, and a group exhibition in November, 2006. To see
more examples of his art, visit his website at
