For Adults

MIXED NUTS: Daytime Book Discussions

Snacks and chats are the most important part of this book discussion group! At MIXED NUTS, you will experience lively book discussions full of laughs, while also joining this group of Meticulous, Impassioned, Xenodochial, Electric, Distinct, Noetic, Unique, Tenebrous, Sagacious individuals!

From month to month, MIXED NUTS will assist you in reading books outside of your typical book selections. Find out what book is next, borrow it from our display, read it, show up, chat, and eat.

Who is this for? Adults
When is this held?  1st Friday of each month, 1–3pm
What should I bring?  A snack to share tied into the book’s theme

Novel Bunch: Evening Book Discussions

Fun, friendly, and lively discussion on a variety of interesting literature await you! 

Find out the next book, borrow it from the display, read it in advance, and show up ready to share your opinions.

Who is this for? Adults
When is this held?  4th Thursday of each month 6–8pm
What should I bring?  Your finished book

Purls of Brogue: Knitting and Crochet Experts

Get ready to take a dive into the world of knitting and crochet. Whether you are a novice or full of experience, our group of friendly crafters will assist you with tips and advice to help you solve issues on even your toughest projects.

When is this held?  Tuesdays 6–8pm

For Teens

T.L.C.: Teens & Tweens Love Collinsville

TLC is made up of a group of young bibliophiles who enjoy giving back to the library and community that has embraced them and their unique qualities as individuals. In this volunteer group, your unique characteristics are what bring life to the group’s discussion. By sharing your own personal experiences, hobbies, and reading tidbits, you will teach others about yourself while also joining in the community of TLC.

Who is this for? 11–18 year-olds
When is this held?  3rd Thursday of each month, 6-7:30pm

Are you a home schooling family? Join Leslie, a former home school mom, and other home school families for student socialization, learning, public speaking and parent networking opportunities.

Teachers from neighboring Clearview Elementary visit to share activities and tips to help you prepare your children for Kindergarten.
