Exhibiting Teen Artwork & Starting Conversations
This May, York County Libraries is hosting the second annual Teen Art Exhibit! This exhibit will be on display at Martin Library from May 1-8, 2026.
We welcome everyone to join us during the Opening Reception on May 1 from 5-7 PM!
Calling Teen Artists
Teens aged 12-18 from York County, PA, you are invited to submit your artwork for the juried exhibit by April 10, 2026.
Artwork Selection & Prizes
Artwork will be reviewed and selected for the exhibit. We strongly encourage all selected artists, art teachers, friends, and family to attend the Opening Reception on May 1st!
Four prizes will be awarded:
- 1st place
- 2nd place
- 3rd place
- Viewers’ Favorite
Prizes will be awarded on May 1st during the Opening Reception.
The Prompt: “Building Community, Making Connections”
When you read this prompt, what feelings and thoughts come to mind? What’s your role in your community? What makes a strong community? What do you love about your community? What would you like to change?
Analog and digital art, 2-D and 3-D art welcome.
A few things to know:
- The prompt for the exhibit is “Building Community, Making Connections.” All artwork should reflect this theme.
- Artwork must be a visual medium. Both physical and digital artwork is accepted.
- Submitting your artwork does not guarantee it will be shown during the exhibit.
- Selected artists will be notified by April 17
- All submitted artwork must be original. We will not accept:
- Reproductions, copyrighted, or trademarked images
- AI-generated pieces (Artificial Intelligence)
