Bubble Magician Performing July 7-27

Bubble Magician to Perform at York County Libraries 

YORK, PA – Bubble Magician River Barry will appear at libraries across the county as part of the York County Libraries SummerQuest program. The family-friendly performance titled “A Magical Bubble Adventure” will combine science, storytelling, and bubbles. Barry will stop at all 13 library locations between July 7 – 27. Additional details are available online at yorklibraries.org/SummerQuest. 

“As soon as I heard ‘bubbles’ and ‘magic’ I was sold,” says York County Libraries Youth Services Director Mindy McDonnell. “But add in science and dinosaurs, and this truly is a ‘can’t-miss’ event.  Not only will families have a lot of fun, but they will also learn a lot about the science and magic behind bubbles.”

“River Barry has a fascinating way of taking the audience on a time traveling expedition through the history of bubbles. He draws everyone into learning seamlessly,” says York County Libraries President Robert F. Lambert. “Programs like this one help students avoid summer learning loss while they are having a great time at the library.” 

This year’s SummerQuest program is made possible thanks to the generous support of Capital Blue Cross, C&N, First National Bank, Graham Capital Company, Kinsley Construction, Kinsley Steel, M&T Bank, Traditions Bank a Division of ACNB Bank, Univest Financial, Walton & Company, Waste Management, Weis Markets, and York Precision Machining and Hydraulics. This aids YCL’s delivery of a robust SummerQuest program that inspires students to keep learning during summer vacation and provides literacy opportunities for all.
