Hello, York County neighbors! If you caught our recent sneak peek on social media, you already know that something big is coming to our shelves. There has been such an amazing response! Here are some quick answers for a few of the questions we’ve received.
When can I check them out?
In a few weeks!
We posted a bit before the passes were officially processed into the catalog system. There is a lot going on behind the scenes to get everything entered and ready. We’ll let everyone know as soon as they are available. Keep an eye on our social media!
Who can borrow them, and where do I get them?
Anyone with an adult York County Libraries card, but the passes must be picked up at the Dillsburg Library.
We are thrilled to welcome any patron with a valid York County Library Card to borrow these passes! You are welcome to place a hold on a pass through the catalog system, but please note that this collection is exclusive to our building. We will not be sending these passes to other branches, so all holds must be picked up in person right here at the Dillsburg Library.
(Need a card or a renewal first? You can stop by your closest York County Library branch to get that sorted before you make the drive to see us!)
Is admission really free?
Yes!
However, every venue is a little different. Each pass has its own specific guidelines, such as how many guests it covers (some cover a whole family, others cover a specific number of adults/children) and which days of the week it can be used. We will have a full breakdown of each pass’s rules available for you when they launch.
