The Friends of the Dillsburg Area Public Library are excited to invite the community to their highly anticipated 2026 Spring Book Sale, running from April 18 through April 25. The week-long event kicks off Saturday, April 18, at 9:00 AM at the library. Following the opening day, the sale will remain accessible to the public during regular library operating hours.
Shoppers can browse an expansive collection featuring thousands of books curated for readers of all ages. In addition to a diverse selection of literature and non-fiction, the sale will include a wide array of DVDs and puzzles. To add to the excitement, the Friends will also host a basket raffle throughout the event.
The festivities will conclude on Saturday, April 25, with the fan-favorite “Fill-a-Bag” day, offering patrons the opportunity to stock up on their favorite titles for a single flat rate.
Since 2017, the Friends of the Dillsburg Area Public Library have raised an impressive $40,000 to keep library services thriving. Their two annual sales have become a cornerstone of local support, reaching a milestone in 2025 when combined proceeds neared the $10,000 mark.
“We are incredibly grateful for the tireless fundraising efforts of the Friends group,” noted Keith Greenawalt, Library Director. “In an era where public budgets are tightening and expenses are on the rise, this kind of local engagement is the cornerstone of our ability to serve the public effectively.”
