2025 Dillsburg Library Summer Programs

The Dillsburg Area Public Library welcomes all to Color Our World this summer during the annual SummerQuest program. The library will join others across the nation in encouraging children and adults to continue to learn and grow during the summer. In addition to a full slate of events, children can read and do activities from June 2 to August 17 to win prizes donated by local and county-wide businesses.

For more information and to see all of the SummerQuest events taking place in Dillsburg this summer, visit events.yorklibraries.org and select Dillsburg as your library.  All programs are free, but some do require registration.

To learn how you can take part in the SummerQuest reading and activity program, visit www.yorklibraries.org/summerquest. A valid York County Libraries’ card is required to participate in the reading program. You can also register and log minutes via the BeanStack app!

The ever-popular GO York! walking and hiking challenge returns to take you to parks and trails all over York County. Prizes are awarded for finding the 30 secret codes! To learn more, visit goyork.org.

At Dillsburg, we’ve got a reading challenge for adults as well. Stop by the library and pick up your challenge sheet starting on June 2.

“Summer us our busiest time of the year – there is almost always something happening,” says Library Director Keith Greenawalt. “Reading and learning over the summer are so important to prevent the summer slide and keep children sharp for school returning in the fall.”

Hours & Location

Regular library hours are Monday through Thursday from 10am–8pm, Friday from 10am–3pm, and Saturday from 10am–5pm (close at 3pm on Saturday from July 1 to Labor Day).
