Young Thinkers Robotics Club

RoboThinkers is a 7 member robotics team that participates in the First Lego League program. FIRST LEGO League, also known as FLL, is a STEM program for students aged 9-14 and is designed to get the kids excited about science, engineering, technology, and team building. One of the main takeaways of the free after school program is for every student to remember and use what they have learned for many years to come.

We practice two days a week during the season and once a week during off season. The season starts in late August when FIRST LEGO releases the new challenge for 2017. During the season, RoboThinkers will have the opportunity to compete in 2 scrimmages (York and Downingtown) and 1 regional qualifier (Reading). The FLL challenge consists of three parts: core values, project, and robot games.  To participate or for more information, please contact Ray Ames at Young Thinkers of York.

When does the group meet? Thursdays in the off-season, Mondays & Thursdays August through February, 5:30-7pm
Do I need to register? Yes. The current 2017-2018 team is full. If interested in joining next year, contact Ray Ames.
