In the past year between the pandemic and weather closures, going to the Library can be a challenge. A great alternative, offered by YCL, is Axis 360. This handy APP allows you to download books and audio books to a variety of devices, including phones, iPads, Kindles (except a Paperwhite) or Nook.
You can find a Help & Training site as well as YouTube tutorials right from the YCL website.
After downloading the app to your device through the Apple Store or Google, you are ready to begin. Register by typing “York County Libraries” in the search field. Enter your library card number (NO spaces) in the ID box. Your password is the last 4 digits of your barcode number. Search for your favorite Title or Author. Tap the cover and then tap checkout. If the book is available, it will download as soon as you would like!
