Celebration of Poetry Contest

Come celebrate the creative minds of York County’s teens and kids on this annual library event! Held annually in Martin Library, the Celebration of Poetry Contest showcases the poetic pieces of students in Grades 1-12.

Students will submit their works for judging prior to the night of the event, and winners will be announced at the event. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner in the following categories: Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, Grades 7-8, Grades 9-10, and Grades 11-12. Winning poems will be compiled in a booklet which will be awarded to all winners and placed in circulation in the Children’s Library.

All are welcome to attend the Celebration of Poetry! Check our Events Calendar for more information about this year’s Celebration of Poetry Contest!
