Celebration of Poetry Contest

Celebrate the creative minds of York County’s kids and teens at this annual Martin Library event! The Celebration of Poetry Contest showcases the poetry created by students in Grades 1-12.

Students submit their works for judging prior to the night of the event, and winners will be announced at the event. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner in the following categories: Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, Grades 7-8, Grades 9-10, and Grades 11-12. A compilation of winning poems will be added to the collection at York County Libraries. To view winning submissions, return to this page after May 15.

All are welcome to attend the Celebration of Poetry! Check our Events Calendar for more information about this year’s Celebration of Poetry Contest!
