April is almost here–and here’s what’s happening at the library!

Don’t miss Kids First Saturday at a new time starting this month.  Join us from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7th for an hour of fun!  Kids First Saturday events often include a visit from the Dairy Princess, who reads cow stories to the younger children and often leads them in a yogurt cup stacking challenge.  She will be away this month, but look for her in May.  This month, the little kids will have all sorts of colorful building blocks to play with and kids five and up can take the LEGO challenge or build their own LEGO creation.

Storytimes continue throughout April before wrapping up in early May.  Join us for Baby/Toddler Storytime on Mondays at 10:30 and Preschooler Storytime on Wednesdays at 10:30.

Our evening book group, the Rowdy Readers, will meet on Thursday, April 19th at 7:30 pm to discuss “A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeleine L’Engle.  Our daytime group, the Village Readers, will meet on Thursday, April 26th at 11 a.m. They will be discussing “The Story of Arthur Truluv” by Elizabeth Berg, originally scheduled for the March meeting.

Are you a knitter? If so, why not bring your current project and join the Village Knitters any Thursday evening from 5 until 8.

Hungry for some pit beef?  Come to Godfrey Bros. Meats, 7137 Susquehanna Trail South on Saturday, April 21st.  The Jacobus Lioness Club will be selling pit beef sandwiches to benefit the Village Library.  The sale starts at 10:00 a.m. and continues until sold out.  Sandwiches are $7.00 each.
