The slump is over — Here is your next good read!

You may have noticed that there have been no recommendations from Lucinda in the past few weeks. Lucinda was in a book slump. We all have experienced a slump from time to time–when nothing we pick up seems to be worth reading.
Well, the slump has ended! If you have not read “Little Fires Everywhere” by Celeste Ng, get on the list. It’s worth the wait.
A Booklist starred book and a New York Times best seller as well as earning Lucinda’s seal of approval, “Little Fires Everywhere” takes place in Shaker Heights, a placid, progressive suburb of Cleveland, where everything is planned. No one embodies this spirit more than Elena Richardson, whose guiding principle is playing by the rules. Enter Mia Warren – an enigmatic artist and single mother – who arrives in this idyllic bubble with her teenage daughter Pearl, and rents a house from the Richardsons. Soon Mia and Pearl become more than tenants. But Mia carries with her a mysterious past and a disregard for the status quo that threatens to upend this carefully ordered community.
Available in ebook and e-audio as well as in regular and large print and on CD.
Lucinda is now looking forward to reading Ng’s previous book, “I Never Told You”.
