Community Invited to Information Session

York County residents curious about the construction happening at the future Kreutz Creek Library are invited to attend a virtual community information session. The free event will be held on Zoom at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 18. Registration is now underway on the YCL events calendar Sign up today!  A link for the event will be sent to your email.

York County Libraries President Robert F. Lambert and Kreutz Creek Library Branch Manager Susan Nenstiel will lead the information session.  Kreutz Creek Library has been serving the community for 42 years in a doublewide FEMA trailer that once housed families displaced by Hurricane Agnes in the 1970’s.  The busy library has outgrown the 1,200 square foot trailer and anticipates moving to its future location by early fall.  Kinsley Construction, Inc. is leading construction at the former Hellam Township building they are transforming into a library. The new space spans 8,800 square feet and will house books, resources and activities for children, teens and adults.  Questions about the project are invited! Ask during the event or submit in advance here

Construction Story Time

Recently, young library members had a chance to learn more about their future library during construction story time at Flinchbaugh’s Orchard. Kinsley Project Manager Ben Zimmerman joined the library’s Miss Felicia for stories and fun.  The future Kreutz Creek Library will feature a dedicated space for children to learn, explore and grow.
