Because libraries foster curiosity to promote lifelong learning…

What can I do at Guthrie Memorial Library?

When you visit any one of our libraries within York County, you will find programming offered across many of our libraries.  To find those countywide programs and their descriptions, visit the What Can I Do? tab or our events calendar for an updated list of current activities. Additionally, each library has their own unique offerings scheduled throughout the year.

At Guthrie Memorial Library, you and your family can enjoy unique activities designed for:

Guthrie Goes for the Gold

Guthrie became a Gold Star Library in January 2019! PA Forward is a statewide initiative under the PA Library Association (PaLA), which works to strengthen the state’s libraries through education, advocacy, and leadership. PA Forward works through five key literacies – basic, information, civic and social, health and financial – to assist all residents in enhancing their overall quality of life. The Star Library recognition offers support to libraries who participate and clearly demonstrate their incorporation of the literacies in their programming activities. Those libraries are recognized for meeting action items within the bronze, silver and gold star levels of the program.
