What can I do at Arthur Hufnagel Public Library?

For Adults

A Common Thread Crafting Coven

Come join us for chatting, laughter and learning! Bring along your thread-based art or your interest to learn a new craft! Held on the 2nd Sunday of the month, A Common Thread starts at 1 pm. New members always welcome!

When is this held?  2nd Friday of the month, 1-3pm

Friends of the Library

Join the friends of the library and help make your library the best place to be! For more information about our library’s Friends Group and what they do, visit the Friends of Arthur Hufnagel Public Library page. New members always welcome. Meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from September to May.

Glen Rock Literary Society

Our Glen Rock Literary Society is Arthur Hufnagel’s own book discussion group. Come prepared to discuss the current month’s book while also enjoying an evening with great company. A Swarm of Queens: The Divas of Day Planning

Do you love your day planner? Are you a washi tape hoarder? Have more colored pens than you know what to do with? Shaped post-it notes falling out of every bag you own? Then you might be a Day Planning Diva!

Join us the last Friday of each month to plan your next month! We plan (see what I did there?) to chat, swap washi tape and stickers, try out each other’s pens (if you’re OK with that kind of thing) and exchange ideas.

Who is this for? Primarily Adults, All Ages Welcome

Taste of the Valley

The library’s biggest fundraiser of the year! There is wine tasting, amazing food, raffles, silent auctions, the Black Lantern Boutique, and live music! Join your community in this fun, eventful evening, while also showing your support for the library. Visit our Facebook page for more information.

For Families

Free Comic Book Day

This annual celebration is packed with special guests, freebies, and fun! The first 15 families will receive a swag bag but everyone through the doors will get a free comic of their choice! Halloween Comic Fest

Grab your spookiest costume, your favorite comics, and get ready for Halloween Comic Fest!  Halloween Comic Fest is our Halloween-themed Free Comic Book Day. On this day, we have activities for the whole family to enjoy including: raffles, free comics (Halloween/horror/scary themed, of course), cosplayers, and a costume contest! Snacks will be provided.
