What can I do at Arthur Hufnagel Public Library?

Additionally, each library has their own unique offerings scheduled throughout the year.

Come join us for chatting, laughter and learning! Bring along your thread-based art or your interest to learn a new craft! New members always welcome!

Who is this for? Adults
When is this held?  1st Monday of the Month: 1-3 pm; Last Tuesday of the Month: 6-7 pm

Career Corner

Get a head-start on your job or career search during one of our Career Corner sessions. Our Career Corner program will help to seek out the right position for you, while also offering tips and helpful information about applying, resumes, and much more!  

We will be using the PA Smart Initiative website to complete assessments as well as utilize available resources to find the right job for you.  The last hour you will talk to others looking for work or listen to a guest speaker.

When is this held? Every other Friday
What should I bring? Your current resume; notebook if you wish!


Friends of the Library

Join the friends of the library and help make your library the best place to be! For more information about our library’s Friends Group and what they do, visit the Friends of Arthur Hufnagel Public Library page. New members always welcome. Meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from September to May.

Glen Rock Literary Society

Our Glen Rock Literary Society is Arthur Hufnagel’s own book discussion group. Come prepared to discuss the current month’s book while also enjoying an evening with great company. Light refreshments will be served. To find out our current month’s book selection, check out our blogs or Facebook page for regular updates.

When is this held?  4th Monday of the Month, 6:30 pm
What should I bring? A Copy of the month’s reading

Language in the Library

Have an interest in learning a new language? We will use Rocket Languages, an interactive software filled with lessons, videos, audio, voice playback and quizzes to help you understand the basics of a language.

Each program session will include a time to for learning, and will complete with an open practice session with others. During sharing sessions, there is no pressure. Everyone learns at their own pace!

Taste of the Valley

The library’s biggest fundraiser of the year! There is wine tasting, amazing food, raffles, silent auctions, and live music! Join your community in this fun, eventful evening, while also showing your support for the library.

Who is this for? Adults 21+
When is this held?  Annually in the fall
How much are tickets? $35 per person

For Families

Homegrown Learners

Homegrown Learners welcomes home schooled students of all ages to join other home school families in the library for a monthly discussion of various topics. Sessions may also include activities, special speakers, as well as free time to socialize with others.

Friday Night Movies

Grab some popcorn and your favorite treat to watch a featured movie at the library! Offered periodically, we will be showing movies that the whole family will enjoy.
