We have exciting news about the e-resources offered by York County Libraries via POWER Library! Starting on August 1,  we will be able to offer 12 Gale products related to research and education. Our staff is hard at working preparing trainings and getting ready to spread the word to parents, educators, and students. You can look forward to trainings this fall. The twelve new products include:

  • Gale Academic OneFile
  • Gale Business Insights: Essentials
  • Gale Kids InfoBits
  • Gale InfoTrac Student Edition
  • Gale General OneFile
  • Gale Global Reference on the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources (GREENR)
  • Gale Research in Context
  • Gale InfoTrac Newsstand
  • Gale Educator’s Reference Complete
  • Gale Books & Authors
  • Gale Informe Academico
  • Gale LitFinder

These Gale products replace the current suite of products available from EBSCO.

We will be keeping the following e-resources via POWER Library:

  • Rosen Cyber Smarts

If you are a long-time user of the EBSCO suite or a new user wondering what is available in the new Gale suite we have a handy chart! The chart will tell you the Gale name, the description of the e-resource, and what it was called in EBSCO.

We are excited about the new e-resources coming to POWER Library and York County Libraries.  Coming soon…we’ll announce the schedule for public trainings on the new e-resources. Watch for details!
