Fall 2021 Friends Book Sale

The Friends of the Dillsburg Area Public Library will be holding their first used book sale in 2 years starting on Saturday, October 2 and continuing from October 4 through October 9. We’ve received a lot of donations from our friends and neighbors! The designated book storage area in our shed is nearly full with dozens and dozens of boxes. There are sure to be plenty of bargains in those boxes.

The Friends last held a sale in the fall of 2019. They were collecting items for a sale in spring 2020 when the COVID-19 shutdown occurred. Due to the pandemic, they were unable to hold sales in the spring and fall of 2020 and the spring of 2021. The group typically holds two sales per year, one in the spring and another in the fall. They have been hard at work sorting and preparing for this event.

Adult items will be $1 each or 6 for $5, while children’s items are $.50 each or 3 for $1. Saturday, October 9 is “fill-a-bag” for $5 day. All proceeds benefit the library and its many programs and services.

Following CDC guidelines, the library recommends that all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, wear a face covering. Please postpone your trip if you are ill or experiencing signs or symptoms of COVID-19.
