Volunteer Spotlight: Barb

Barb Bell has been a Dillsburg resident for 31 years and a library volunteer since 1995. She enjoys living in our small community and interacting with our youngest patrons, especially when it comes to helping them find books at the library. Her favorite books are Jean Auel’s Clan of the Cave Bear and The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein.

She grew up in Mechanicsburg and studied at Central Penn College. She is employed by PinnacleHealth as a Coding and Compliance professional. This mother of three and grandmother of eight loves watching horror movies and listening to heavy metal! Her favorite bands are Metallica and Lincoln Park.

There are lots of volunteer opportunities at the library. Whether you staff the front desk or work behind the scenes, volunteering at the library is a great way to meet new people and give back to your community. Stop by for a volunteer application today!
