One thing that any good library manages to do is to go beyond its walls into the community. The Dillsburg Area Public Library is no exception to this rule. We participate with other non-profits in various community events throughout the course of the year.
In May we spent took part in the 2nd Annual Give Local York and a Food Truck Food Court here in Dillsburg with some of our non-profit friends. The following weekend several staff enjoyed a pleasant and sunny morning and early afternoon meeting and greeting during the annual PickleFest event on Greenbriar Lane.
On June 1st, several staff attended one of the York County Library Summer Quest Kick-Off events. We went down to the Dover Community Center to help our friends from several area libraries register for the Summer Quest Program and to pass out information on our summer events.
On August 6 we will head over to Logan Park to join our friends from many other great community organizations at National Night Out, sponsored by the Carroll Township Police Department. We are looking forward to another fun night of food and community.
You can also look for Miss Sue at the Dillsburg Farmers Market on select Saturdays through the course of market season.
As you can tell, we like to go out and see where are friends and community are!
