Ask Kids
This site is a search engine for kids.  It is set up in categories by age or subject to make for easy researching.  The schoolhouse link provides the most useful search.  It offers great sites for topics on mathematics, science, history and language arts.

The 50 States

This is an excellent website for students to do research on a specific state in the United States of America.  A student first selects which state they would like to do research on.  They then can find information on the facts, geography, history, famous people, bird and flower, etc. on their specific state. This is a colorful, kid friendly website.

Fact Monster

An amazing site for students who need help in just about anything with homework centers for Geography, History, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies.  You'll also find skill help in writing and research, speaking and listening, and also studying.  Reference resources are available as well.  These include: almanacs, atlas, dictionary, encyclopedia, and biographies.

Homework Hub

This website has articles for parents to read about different topics including, how to prepare for tests, organization tips, writing guides, etc.  It also has a books and reading section.  In this section, it breaks down the grades into preschool, grades k-2, grades 3-5, and grades 6-8.

Kids Konnect

This site has links to different subject area’s including math, science, writing and history.  Offers sites with science fair ideas, help in math sites, history research sites, and writing help sites.  It also offers online stories and information about authors.  This is a wonderful, easy to navigate site.

National Geographic

This is an informative, reliable, animal research site for children.  It also has information on places around the world.  The site offers information, games, videos, activities, photos and stories.
