The York County Library System is a nonprofit organization for the purpose of planning, coordination, program development, and funding of library services in York County.  Thirteen libraries belong to the York County Library System. The headquarters of the York County Library System is located in Martin Library, the county's District Center.

YCLS Services

The major services of the System are:

  • Distribution of state and county funding. 

  • Community relations.  

  • Online catalog system (COOL CAT) and Dynix automation system.

  • Technology development and support.

  • Grant funding for library improvement projects.

  • Interlibrary delivery.

  • Coordination of youth programs.

  • Administration of 5 branches.

  • Technology Training Center.

  • Pension benefits.

  • York Libraries website.

  • Internet access.
