When you become a Friend of the Guthrie Memorial Library, you fill an important role in the community and help the library in many ways. The Friends is a group of citizens who place a special value on the library. They initiate and develop programs and services that cannot be included in the tax-supported library budget.


Assist in creating public support for the library

•Help broaden the scope of the library's services,

•Create an awareness of the library's place as an informational & cultural 

 center of the community.


The Friends provide...

•Programs such as book talks & lectures

•Present an opportunity to meet visiting artists and authors.

•Volunteer service in the library or lend a hand with a variety of other projects.
