Shana Prematta

Shana Prematta is a resident of Freeland, MD, where she enjoys taking photos and painting pictures of her rural community.  She has participated in the Gifted and Talented Art Program in Hereford Schools since age 12, and is currently a freshman at Hereford High. Shana specializes in photographing and painting landscapes and animals. 

She particularly enjoys capturing the sometimes quirky, sometimes solemn and sometimes raw or deep persona of her own Bernese Mountain Dog, Trapper.  Her photo of Trapper in a snowstorm won the Special Award prize at the 2008 Maryland State Fair.

Shanna is an accomplished swimmer and plays the viola.
