Friends’ Mission
Support the Red Land Community Library in its
efforts to provide high quality lifelong service to all.
The Friends of Red Land
Community Library is a non-profit community
organization dedicated to developing the
resources and services of our library. Our
meetings are held in the library on the second
Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm.
The Friends support the library by:
-
Encouraging public
awareness and appreciation of the library and its service.
-
Raising one quarter of
library operating funds, approximately $30,000 per year.
-
Providing financial and
volunteer support for the children’s summer reading club,
adult programs and other special library programs.
-
Sponsoring a quarterly
book sale and volunteer appreciation events.
-
Encouraging public
support of the library through gifts of money, memorial
donations, endowments and bequests.
Our
activities include:
Quarterly book sales
Night of Chocolate
Membership Drive
Newsletter
Flea Market
Operation Paperback
Quilt Raffle
