Kreutz Creek Valley Library What are Friends of the Kreutz Creek Valley Library? Friends of the Kreutz Creek Valley Library is a branch support group made up of civic-minded patrons who recognize that a good library is central to a good community. They organize committees which raise funds, help promote library awareness and help to improve and expand library service. The Friends group is organized apart from the library and has its own by-laws, officers and organization. It works with the librarian in planning activities, but its members are not involved, except as interested citizens, in the governance of the library. Activities of the Friends group include:
The Friends group has a contract, signed
yearly, with the York County Library System to operate the Kreutz Creek
Valley Library. The Friends provide a percentage of the overall operating
expense of this library.
