Holiday Home Tour and Winter Fair to be held December 5

A Holiday Home Tour and Winter Fair to benefit Collinsville Community Library will be held on Saturday, December 5th from noon until 5 p.m. Tickets for the home tour are available at the library in advance for $6 per person and on December 5th for $8. Details of the three distinctive homes and area church are at the library.  

The Winter Fair will be held at Clearview Elementary School cafeteria. No tickets are needed to attend the Fair that will offer soups, potpie, chili, and sandwiches to eat in or take out. Activities include Pampered Chef and scrapbooking demonstrations, crafts for sale, and the Collinsville Library’s big book sale.   

A highlight of the holiday celebration is a basket auction that will take final bids at 5 p.m.at the school. The baskets will be on display at the library between now and the Winter Fair. Residents are invited to join in the fun of bidding on the beautifully-filled baskets that were created and donated by area businesses and organizations.  

Also included in the auction is a circular shawl that is a unique, one-of-a-kind design created by the Purls of Brogue knitters, whose members meet weekly on Tuesday evenings at the library.
