Local artists are needed to paint Martin Library red...
Well, technically not the library itself.   Martin Library is looking for artists to submit original artwork that utilizes the color red. A variety of mediums are sought  including oil and watercolor paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, jewelry, quilts and mixed media.

The library will unveil the gallery on
Friday, September 5th during Downtown York's First Friday celebration
& will exhibit the artwork through November.

The Details...

Artists are invited to submit four original pieces of two or three dimensional artwork for consideration by sending an email to ArtInMartinLibrary@gmail.com with images of the art attached.

Each image should be labeled with the artist's last name and title of the piece (i.e. Miller.Mona Lisa).

The email should include the artist's contact information, the title of each piece and its dimensions, media type and price. (Please note: maximum frame size may be 48"x36" and be wired for hanging, instead of saw tooth.)

Artists will have the opportunity to sell their pieces through the exhibit, with a percentage donated to the library.

Deadline for entry is Friday August 8th by 5 pm.

Ten artists will be selected for participation and will be notified of their acceptance in Mid-August.  Please contact John Miller with questions  at
