How you can help shape the future of your library!

By providing a place for personal or business research, leisure reading, free access to computers, or programs for adults, teens, children and families, libraries across York County have touched the lives of nearly every individual that has ever lived in our community.  York County libraries serve over 517,000  York Countians with “Answers for Living, Knowledge for Life.

When you join the Endowment-Legacy Society at your library, you join the many individuals who have chosen to ensure that the library’s good work will continue well into the future. We encourage you to inform your library of a planned gift so that we may acknowledge your commitment during your lifetime.

York County libraries partner with York County Community Foundation to assist donors who wish to ensure an ongoing gift to their favorite library(ies). If you do not have a professional (such as an attorney, financial planner, and/or accountant) that can discuss the details of estate planning, please call the York County Community Foundation at 717.848-3733 for consultation in this matter.

You can become a member of a library's legacy society by letting that library know you are going to do one of the following:
