Online Account - You have
access to
your
account, online, anytime, day or night. Use it to see what
you have checked out, renew your books, place holds, and
more. Simply click on the My Account link at the top
of the menu on the
www.yorklibraries.org home page. If you have any
questions,
contact us.
Renew your
books or other items -
Click here
for our catalog, then click on My Record. Log in and
then click on Items currently checked out. Click on
the Renew All button or check the items that you want
to renew and click on the Renew Selected button. You
may renew your items twice.
Please note: If the item is on hold for someone else, or if you
have renewed it twice already, you will not be able to renew the
item.
You can also renew books in person at any library or by
telephone during library hours.
Request a
book - Holds on items owned by the York County Library
System can be placed online.
Click here
for the online catalog. Search for the item you want. When you
find it, click on the Request button near the top of
the page. On the next screen enter your last name and barcode
and choose a pickup location. Click on Submit. You
should get a confirmation screen telling you that your request
was successful. If you have problems, call your
local
library for help.
Holds can also be placed in person at any library or by
telephone during library hours.
Inter-library
loan - Inter-library loan is used to request materials you cannot find in the York County
Library System catalog. It is available at any of the York
County Libraries. You can call or visit your
local
library to have the request placed for you, or you can
request the item online. For more information on requesting

The
Foundation Center at Martin Library - Martin
Library offers free access to a core collection of approved
Foundation Center
publications, the Foundation Directory Online Professional
search, and a variety of supplementary materials and services
useful to grant seekers. The Cooperating Collection is located
on the second floor in the Information Services Area.

The
Pennsylvania Room -
The Pennsylvania Room
at Guthrie Memorial
Library, 2 Library Place in Hanover, PA, has an excellent
collection of local history and genealogy materials, including
resources for Hanover, York County, and surrounding areas. The
Pennsylvania Room's print materials are included in the York
Libraries catalog; microfilm, however, is not. (Click
here for a list of microfilm holdings.) Hours vary; please
call or check the Pennsylvania Room
schedule before visiting.
