Game Reviewed: Final Fantasy X

gamePositives:
Final Fantasy X (ten) is a fantasy role playing game of EPIC proportions! There is plenty to keep you occupied in the world of Spira, from Blitzball and Chocobo Races to dodging lightning and solving world spanning puzzles. The main character of the game is the spunky and optimistic Tidus. In your travels you gain several party members that help move along the story and which bring different skills to bear that help with defeating the many monsters you will encounter throughout the game. The story telling and character development are so good that I’ve heard stories of people actually crying at the end of the game. Even though the game was released seven years ago I still find the cinematic cut scenes to be unbelievably realistic and the battles and environments throughout the game really push the limit to how good a PS2 game can look.

Negatives
:The only complaint I can think of people having about this game is that it’s too epic. For gamers out there who pride themselves on 100% completion beware! Even after all the time I’ve put into the game (on the save file of my PS2 memory card I have clocked over 800 hours of play time) there are still numerous weapons to unlock and achievements left undone. I would recommend renting it to see if you like the combat system and visuals, but if you find them to your liking then I strongly encourage you to purchase this title. I give it the highest score of 4/4 joysticks!
